EMCD Launches Open-Source Pool Worker for Tether’s MDK, Giving Miners One View of Their Operation

Free, open-source EMCD Pool Worker lets miners see hashrate, worker status and earnings data alongside the rest of their MDK-based infrastructure.

Hong Kong, October 30, 2026 — EMCD, a top-tier global Bitcoin mining pool, launched the EMCD Pool Worker, an open-source integration that connects EMCD Mining Pool to Tether’s Mining Development Kit (MDK). Miners and mining operators who run their infrastructure on MDK can now bring EMCD pool data into the same environment where they monitor hardware and other systems. The Pool Worker is live, available globally, and free to use.

Most mining operations still run on several separate systems: one for hardware monitoring, another for pool statistics, a third for infrastructure management. To see the full picture, operators switch between dashboards, APIs and monitoring tools. The EMCD Pool Worker removes the pool from that list. EMCD data now arrives in the operator’s MDK environment through the same model used by other MDK-compatible components.

MDK is Tether’s open-source framework for making mining infrastructure interoperable and ready for AI-driven automation. On October 24, 2026, Tether announced that mining operators, ASIC manufacturers and mining pools had committed to building and maintaining MDK integrations. Tether is targeting the first stable release, MDK 1.0, by the end of 2026. The EMCD Pool Worker is EMCD’s first direct integration into the MDK ecosystem.

How it works

  1. The operator connects the EMCD Pool Worker to their MDK-based environment, using their existing EMCD Mining Pool account.
  2. The Pool Worker retrieves operational data from EMCD: hashrate, worker status, balances and earnings-related metrics.
  3. That data appears inside the operator’s MDK environment, next to hardware and other MDK-compatible infrastructure.

Key features

•        EMCD pool data inside MDK. No separate monitoring environment is needed for the pool.

•        Unified infrastructure view. Pool-level data sits alongside hardware and other mining systems in one place.

•        Open source. Built on Tether’s open MDK framework, so technical teams can inspect, deploy and extend it.

•        Standardized data access. EMCD data follows the same model as other MDK components, which reduces integration work.

•        No additional fee. The integration is free beyond standard EMCD Mining Pool terms.

A typical user is a mining farm that mines with EMCD and manages its wider infrastructure through an MDK-based system. With the Pool Worker connected, the farm tracks EMCD hashrate, worker status and earnings data in the same view as its machines, instead of monitoring the pool separately.

“Our priority at EMCD is to build technology that supports the full mining cycle and gives operators tools to actually manage efficiency,” said Michael Jerlis, CEO of EMCD. “Today many farms run like a cockpit where every gauge comes from a different manufacturer, and neither a person nor an AI agent can optimize what it only sees in pieces. Taking part in Tether’s MDK is one step toward changing that: operators can work with their EMCD data inside the infrastructure they already run.”

Availability

The EMCD Pool Worker is available now, worldwide, with no geographic restrictions and no onboarding beyond an existing EMCD Mining Pool account. Developers and operators can find the integration in the MDK repository on GitHub and setup guidance in the MDK documentation. More about MDK: mdk.tether.io.

About EMCD

EMCD is the global crypto mining pool and infrastructure provider. Founded in 2017 as an early industrial BTC mining operation in Europe, EMCD now serves users globally. With over 4% of global hashrate and a place in the global top ten, EMCD is committed to security, reliability and transparency. EMCD’s mission is to make it simpler to build and earn digital assets. EMCD was recognised as Best Mining Pool by Coingape in 2026 and Finance Feeds in 2025.
