Wyndham Rewards Backs ’26 Melbourne Marathon

Wyndham Rewards Partner Hub at Melbourne Marathon Festival

Months of training, cheers from the sidelines and a finisher’s medal to take home. For runners who took part in the 2026 Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival, the journey meant much more than the distance covered. As the festival’s official hotel partner, Wyndham Rewards celebrated that spirit, connecting members’ passion for running with opportunities to use their points for a race weekend to remember.

This year, Wyndham Rewards brought together more than 40 Wyndham-nominated runners, including members who had bid on race weekend packages, hotel owners, Wyndham senior leaders, members of local running clubs, content creators and consumer advocates. Beyond the race itself, hospitality and on-site activities added to the weekend’s celebrations.

From points to the starting line

In the lead-up to the festival, Wyndham Rewards members had the opportunity to use their points to bid on weekend packages through the global Wyndham Rewards Experiences platform. Pairing race entry with accommodation or other experiences, the packages offered a way to turn accumulated points into a personal challenge in Melbourne.

For members, the trip was about discovering Melbourne through its streets, sharing the anticipation with fellow runners and finishing at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). It showed how points earned through Wyndham Rewards could become part of something they love, and return home with more than a medal.

A moment to recover and celebrate

After the race, the Very Important Runners (VIR) Lounge presented by Wyndham Rewards at the MCG offered a welcome space to recover. Those with VIR hospitality access could enjoy post-race massages, freshen up with dedicated facilities and unwind after the run.

At the Wyndham Rewards Partner Hub, runners and spectators could take a breather in the recovery area, capture the occasion at the photo booth and test their wellbeing knowledge in trivia games, with points and giveaways to be won. It provided a place for participants and the people cheering them on to share in the festival atmosphere.

“Crossing the finish line is a personal achievement, made even more meaningful by the people who support you along the way,” said Eyvonne Lin, Vice President, Marketing & Commercial Performance, Asia Pacific, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. “Through Wyndham Rewards, we want to be part of the moments our members look forward to, whether that is a getaway, a special experience, or a race they have spent months preparing for. When members can use their points for meaningful occasions like these, membership becomes more relevant beyond the hotel stay.“

Ahead of race weekend, the #RunWithWyndham 4-Week Challenge on Facebook and Instagram extended the running spirit beyond Melbourne, inviting participants to complete weekly distance goals wherever they were, with individual prizes of up to 45,000 Wyndham Rewards points available.
