Date: November 1, 2025

Gili Trawangan has been confirmed as the official host location for the 2026 PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) programs, with a full annual training schedule now publicly available. The announcement outlines ten instructor training cycles to be conducted throughout the year, positioning the island as a key destination for professional scuba instructor education in Indonesia.

All Instructor Development Courses will take place at Blue Marlin Dive Gili Trawangan, the first PADI IDC Centre established on the island and one of the longest-operating dive facilities in the region. The center has supported professional-level scuba training for more than 30 years and continues to play a central role in instructor development within the Gili Islands.

The 2026 IDC programs are conducted under the academic direction and evaluation of Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod, whose professional background includes over 23 years of international diving industry experience. Instructor candidates are assessed using structured teaching evaluations designed to reflect real instructional environments encountered within the global dive industry.
